Accusations

Have you ever been accused of something you didn’t do?  Maybe someone dislikes you at work and tried to get you in trouble with your boss?  Maybe someone in your family accused you of saying something you really didn’t say…?

There are so many ways others can accuse us of things, but I want to remind you of something… God sees and hears everything and He knows what you’ve done or haven’t done.  So, I want you to rest in that.  God’s Word is final.

Now, I want to talk with you about a more insidious accusation.  This one comes from our enemy, the Devil.  He is constantly accusing the brethren, for that is what He does.  Revelation 12:10 says, “Then I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, “Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before God day and night, has been cast down.”

Did you see that?  The Devil is accusing us day and night!   But we don’t have to be frightened….

I came to a realization today, these accusations aren’t true!  Seems pretty obvious, doesn’t it?  But, have you ever felt so down and you didn’t know why?  Do you think it might be that the enemy is accusing you and you are believing what he is saying?!?  Think about it!  If you are not keeping a tight watch on your thought life, the enemy can and does pummel us with accusations and it can be very heavy. 

Will you trust your Holy and precious Savior and Lord?  The Devil is a LIAR and He was defeated at the cross!

God says you are His child (1 John 3:1-3, John 1:12-13 and Romans 8:14), God says you are clean because of the Word He spoke to you  (John 15:3), God says, NOTHING can separate us from His love that is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Romans 8:38-39) and NO ONE can snatch you out of His hand (John 10:28), you belong to Him (Eph 2:13-15) and you have been set free! (John 8:31-36).

So, be encouraged tonight and remember, the enemy can’t touch you (1 John 5:18) and when He accuses you, it is not the truth.
