As I am thinking of life, my heart reminds me that Jesus is a strong tower - and I think of the passage that says the righteous run into it and are safe (Proverbs 18:10). Then I remember that Jesus lives for me and that He knows about ALL of my doings.
Have you ever thought of what it means to become immortal? Let’s talk about that for a bit. I guess we can start with what mortality is. Mortality means death. Okay, so then immortality means what? Life! Forever! Never dying. So, how does one live forever? How does one escape death? Do you know?
In John chapter 11, when Lazarus had died, Jesus said to Martha, “Your brother will rise from the dead.” Martha said to Him, “I know that he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.” Then Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life, the one who believes in me will live, even if he dies and the one who lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this?” Well… do you believe this?
I want to encourage you. Jesus himself is the resurrection and the life. He is our immortality, He is our eternity, He is our life, and we boast in Him alone. He said, “I AM the resurrection and the life.”. Life is NOW and I pray you choose it… for eternity.
This season we are celebrating the resurrection of our Lord. And faith-filled believers all around the world are fulfilling their purpose as they exclaim the truth about Jesus being raised again to life after death.
Will you believe? Will you trust Him? Will you become immortal and live forever?
