Have you said YES to God’s commands? Are you in fellowship with His people? Are you being sanctified by the Holy Spirit?
God wants you to know that He hasn’t forgotten about you. If you have slipped away from your faith, let me encourage you, God knows and wants you back. He desires to have a deep, personal and loving relationship with you.
It’s not at all about the clothes you wear, or the hymns you sing, nor is it about how you act, how you behave (always trying to do what is right and not what is wrong), not that that is bad, but it’s just not how God sees us and wants us to live. We aren’t walking a tightrope and He isn’t sitting there waiting for you to make a mistake. It is about building a truthful and loving relationship with our Creator. Someone who cares deeply about you, who loves you right where you are.
He is kind and faithful to accomplish all He has purposed in your life. You are not without Him for even one minute, or even one second of your life. 2 Corinthians 1:22 reminds us: "Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come."
So, I want you to consider something… will you lay down what you have been carrying and trust your heavenly Father? He is the only one who will be with you forever. Will you trust Him today? Will you entrust yourself to His love and care?
I promise that in Him you will find deep compassion, care, true and abiding peace, faith, hope and real love.
Remember, God doesn’t count our sins against us. Psalm 103:12 reminds us, “As far as the East is from the West, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” But, if you have unconfessed sin, I would implore you to confess it to God so you can be cleansed. 1 John 1:9 tells us, “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”
He will reveal Himself to you.
