Trusting the One Who Knows

So, who is it in your life that you trust? Maybe a spouse? Maybe a friend? It is good when we can trust people; perhaps the things they say, or to do what they say they are going to do, that they have our best interests at heart. But in truth, they really don’t know what we need at our core and they don’t know how to help us…truly, only God does. So, unless God shows them what we need, when it comes to trusting someone with our life, we need to turn to the one who created us, the One who loves us most, knows our every need and desire and can fulfill our innermost longings.

1 Peter 1:24 NLV says, “All people are like grass. Their greatness is like the flowers. The grass dries up and the flowers fall off.”

Jesus Christ is the Living Word. He says in John 6:51, “I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread that I shall give is My flesh, which I shall give for the life of the world." Think about that for a minute… let that sink in. He is the Living Word. He is our ONLY hope. The One who knows us best, the One who deeply cares about us and changes us from the inside out, the One who holds our very lives in His hands.

Can I encourage you today to put your trust and hope in Him? May the God of all comfort be yours. May He shine His light on you in such a way that you remember who you are in Him and that you know He is always with you and waiting for you to come to Him.
